DONHODZO CHILDREN TRUST is a philanthropic organization formed in 2010 and legally registered on 25th August 2011 in Zimbabwe. We exist to offer assistance to orphans and vulnerable children to access resources and funds necessary for their educational development.

The organization was founded by Mr. Gilbert Tapera, assisted by the Trustees. It was formed when all the Trustees and the Founder were still youths at St Mary's Anglican Church Zengeza Parish, using Christian principles and values of charity to assist marginalized and abandoned orphans and vulnerable children.

Our vision is to lead in the promotion and empowering of orphans and vulnerable children in Zimbabwe and Africa, becoming full contributors to development. Our mission is to assist orphans and vulnerable children to access resources necessary for educational development while adhering to Christian values of Charity, Love, Hope, Patience, Transparency, Commitment, Empathy, Unity of purpose, Integrity and Excellence.

The Trust is funded through: (1) Subscriptions by trustees from their personal savings, (2) 10% contributions from Tapera Muzana & Partners Legal Practitioners, and (3) Well-wishers and Good Samaritans who believe in our mission.

We currently sponsor school fees for: 12 students at Beta Bricks Primary School, 2 students at Gambiza St Philemon Primary, and individual students at Chingono, St Aiden's, Mukarati-St Lucy's, Makumbe CPS, St Mary's, and Tadzikamidzi Primary Schools.

Beyond educational sponsorships, we offer kind assistance to widows through buying blankets during winter seasons and Christmas groceries. We focus on reducing the impact of HIV and AIDS among orphans and vulnerable children through various awareness programs.
